RAIV Hospitality is looking for food prep cooks to join our GASTROLAB team, located at 704 Maple Rd. Amherst, NY 14221. Our ideal candidate is a self-starter, motivated, and engaged.

GASTROLAB is one of the early adapters of the Virtual Food Hall concept. Our customers can MIX & MATCH their order from all our eight brands ALL IN ON CART! Saving time and money.
Responsibilities
- Train, coach, and develop employees
- Delegate tasks to team and provide follow-up
- Hold team accountable for their performance; provide coaching and counseling as needed
- Ensure team provides fast, friendly, and accurate service
- Ensure product quality, restaurant cleanliness, maintenance and security standards are met
- Ensure appropriate inventory and ordering systems are in place
- Follow proper food prep and cooking procedures
- Set up and break down workstation
- Mix, wash, peel, chop, grind, strain, slice meat and vegetables
- Label stock and inventory all ingredients
- Weigh and measure ingredients to be used
- Prepare food as per our recipes
- Properly receive delivery of supplies
Qualifications
- Big Smile, Positive Energy, Love working with people and in the kitchen
- Experience working in a BOH position
- 2 years’ experience as a manager is preferred, but not required
- Dedicated to working with a team towards one common goal
- Knowledge of kitchen equipment and utensils
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent communication skills to connect effectively with customers and co-workers
- Possess a positive attitude and ethics which support our values and culture
- Ability to manage a fast-paced, high-volume, clean, customer-focused restaurant
- Strong time-management skills; ability to multi-task, prioritize, and organize
- Members of our team, your compensation will include the following benefits:
- Base hourly rate starting at $18.00
- $1.94 per hour in food and drinks (FREE FOOD!)
- $1.00 per hour in tips (may vary by location, days and hours worked)
